I've never been a fan of individual awards...Unless a Flyer is winning them...

how is toews not even nominated ? its a joke how far the nhl has their head in the penguins ass, letang and crosby being nominated for awards is a joke considering they both were injured most of the season, ( letang for norris ) but far as who is nominated id vote jt, he is the reason isles are in the playoffs

I think you mean inter-conference and not inter-league. The NHL doesn't typically play meaningful games against other leagues these days.

Letang being a Norris candidate is a joke for far more reasons than his being injured for a portion of the season...

Lol, their points per game were higher than anyone else, and letang was tied for first and crosby second place in total points for their respective positions... Might want to rethink your comment

Oh yea they played less games doing so

Toews should have been nominated for sure. But you are aware that the writers decide these awards right? Not the league. Also, Crosby missed 12 games and Letang missed 13. I wouldn't call that "most of the season". If I had a vote, I would definitely pick JT out of the three. He had an amazing season and is the biggest reason why his team was successful.

apparently you must not understand the meaning of norris trophy or hart, best defenseman, not defenseman who has most points, and the mvp, either has to do with points, rethink your comment knob

I somewhat agree in principle, but I don't find these selections terribly biased. All three had MVP calibre seasons.

I'm sure when the voting comes out, guys like Toews and Bobrovsky will be next on the list.

MVP shouldn't be solely based off point totals though. JT should win because he is the only reason the NYI are even in the playoffs let alone relevant. Crosby is very good but the Penguins can win without him and have shown they can. Whether he plays or not doesn't decide his teams fate. With JT and Ovi, without those 2 players their teams are no where near playoff contention. The Norris and Hart have become more about point production than anything else. Thats why they have the Richard and Ross trophy. They really need to make an Orr trophy for top scoring Dman.

so what you are trying to say, the defenseman with the most points deserves to win the norris ? your trolling efforts are a fail

IMO Crosby is the best player in the world, but Tavares was the MVP. Isles are a lottery pick without Tavares this year. Without Crosby the Pens are still one of the best teams in the NHL.

I'm not totally against that idea. It's obvious that they won't reward defensive defensemen unless that happens.

No. I argue the exact opposite. But, that is fact. The defenseman with the most points has the edge. For the record, I don't troll.
